AJIBESIN Stephen Oluwaseun, AKINRUWA, Temitope Emmanuel PhD.

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of employee well-being programmes on organisational productivity in some selected frozen chicken farms in Ibadan, Oyo state of Nigeria. Specifically, it investigated how work-life balance, wellness programmes and supportive work environment influenced organisational productivity. A survey of 274 employees was carried out by using a descriptive method and a structured questionnaire. Simple linear regression was used to analyse the data. It was found that work-life balance was positively and significantly related to organisational productivity (β = 0.575, R2 = 0.331, p < 0.001). The wellness programmes had a positive and significant effect (β = 0.446, R2 = 0.199, p < 0.001), and the supportive work environment had a positive, but less strong, significant effect (β = 0.148, R2 = 0.022, p = 0.014). The researcher concluded that employee well-being programs are one of the significant factors affecting productivity of selected frozen chicken farms in Ibadan.
