Cyber risk management has therefore become an important mechanism through which organizations identify, assess and respond to potential cyber threats. In the digital environment, this capability is particularly important because a cyberattack can simultaneously affect information systems, financial transactions, customer services and internal operations. The study recommended that organizations should establish continuous cyber risk identification and monitoring mechanisms. Management should regularly identify emerging cyber threats, system vulnerabilities, critical digital assets and business processes that could be affected by cyber incidents. Organizations should develop formal and periodic cyber risk assessment procedures. Cyber risks should be evaluated according to their likelihood, potential financial impact, operational consequences and effects on critical business functions. The results should be incorporated directly into business continuity and disaster recovery plans so that resources are concentrated on the organization’s most critical risks.
