The population comprised all directors and permanent secretaries of the Bayelsa State Civil Service. The purposive sampling technique was used and a sample size of 141 directors and permanent secretaries were selected for the study. The simple random sampling procedure was used and data was collected using a structured questionnaire. The validity of the instrument was established through expert review, while reliability was tested using Cronbach’s Alpha, which produced a coefficient of 0.70, indicating that the instrument was reliable. Data was analysed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient with the aid of the Statistical package for social sciences, version 25. The findings revealed that e- recruitment practices such as; online job advertising, electronic screening, electronic application processing and online assessment have a positive and significant relationship with talent identification. The study concludes that there is a positive and significant relationship between e-recruitment practices and talent identification of the Bayelsa State Civil. However, it was recommended that job vacancies should be realistically advertised through official digital platforms, reliable electronic screening tools should be adopted, electronic application processing should be human friendly, and online assessment should be carefully used to evaluate candidates’ competencies and job suitability.
