Abstract

Indonesia’s accelerated digital economic transformation has made e-wallets essential for daily transactions, particularly reshaping payment behaviors among students in higher education. This study aims to identify e-wallet transaction patterns, analyze usage rates, and determine the most preferred platforms among students in Lampung Province, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative survey method, data were collected from 124 students across universities in Lampung Province, Indonesia, and analyzed using SPSS software. The findings reveal a 96.8% active e-wallet adoption rate, with only 3.2 % of respondents never having used them, underscoring rapid digital integration. Demographically, e-wallet users are predominantly female respondents (61.3%), indicating that women tend to be more adaptable to digital payments. The results establish a behavioral benchmark for digital transformation, providing actionable insights for policymakers, educators, and e-wallet providers to enhance financial inclusion and optimize platform strategies in educational settings among Gen Z and Millennial students.
