Residents Demographics and E-Waste Disposal Behaviour Among Youths in South-East, Nigeria
Abstract
The study examined residents demographics and e-waste disposal behaviour among youths in south-east,Nigeria.The study adopted survey method,responses obatained from 385 respondents were anaysed using tables and multiple regression used to test the stated hyposes.Results from the study showed that omly education and age were statistically significant .Education showed a positive influence indicating that higher level of education enhance responsible e-waste disposal practice,age also positively influence e-waste behaviour. Conversely, gender, marital status, and occupation do not exert statistically significant effects.Based on the findings, Government agencies and educational institutions should integrate e-waste management education into school curricula and youth development programmes to enhance environmental knowledge and concern. Public awareness campaigns should be intensified to educate youths about the environmental and health consequences of improper e-waste disposal and the benefits of responsible practices.
