Bullying and Cyberbullying: European Policies to Prevent and Combat

Emma Saraiello, Andrea Capaldo Giliberti

Abstract

Bullying and cyberbullying today represent two of the most significant forms of youth distress, constituting complex and widespread phenomena that deeply affect the psychological, relational, and social well-being of children and adolescents. This work addresses the phenomenon of bullying and cyberbullying as an educational and social issue of great importance, prevalent among children and adolescents. The main characteristics of both phenomena and their impact on psychological and relational well-being are considered. Particular attention is given to prevention and intervention measures, the role of educational contexts and sport as a tool for inclusion, as well as European policies aimed at promoting safe environments and positive relationships.
