Abstract

Academic institutions operate within a unique environment characterized by diverse stakeholders, including students, academic staff, administrative personnel, regulatory bodies, and external partners. The aim of this study is to analyze and design system principles and techniques in academic institutions. Methodology refers to the systematic analysis of the methods use appropriate to the field of study. It is a systematic way of accomplishing certain tasks and can be defined as a collection of procedures, techniques, tools and documentation aids that assist a system developer to speed up and simplify the information system development process. The methodology adopted for this research is the Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology and Design Science Research . Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology which follows the waterfall model was deployed for fact finding and the prototyping methodology in software development.
