Nwiepe, Naata Michael Ph.D, Nathan, Meni Umoroye, Nwiamamanie, Liikii Lewis

Abstract

This study examined the influence of warehouse management practices on the business wellness of 7UP Companies in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Specifically, the study focused on four key warehouse management practices: material handling, storage management, inventory control, and packaging management. The research adopted a descriptive cross-sectional survey design and collected primary data from 68 purposively selected managerial and senior operational staff directly involved in warehouse operations. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis at a 5% significance level. The findings reveal that all four warehouse management practices positively and significantly influence business wellness, with storage management exerting the strongest effect, followed by packaging management, material handling, and inventory control. The results suggest that efficient warehouse operations enhance operational stability, cost efficiency, sustainability, and overall organizational health. Based on the findings, it is recommended that 7UP Companies strengthen storage systems, improve material handling and inventory control, and optimize packaging management as strategic drivers to enhance business wellness. This study contributes to the understanding of warehouse management as a critical capability for sustaining organizational wellness in the beverage manufacturing sector.
