Abstract

The study investigated the roles of mindfulness, employee resilience, and climate change awareness in the subjective well-being of 174 government employees in south-eastern Nigeria. Participants completed surveys assessing psychological well-being, employee resilience, mindfulness, and climate change awareness. Using Hierarchical Multiple Regression, we found that employee resilience significantly predicted subjective well-being (? = .28, p < .05), and climate change awareness also significantly predicted subjective well- being (? = .22, p < .05). In contrast, mindfulness did not considerably predict subjective well-being. These findings suggest resilience and climate change awareness, but not mindfulness, are significant predictors of well-being among employees. We recommend that future research examine broader aspects of climate change awareness and subjective well- being, using advanced statistical methods to include more related variables.
