Industralization and Sustainable Tourism Development Beyond Oil in Nigeria

Abstract

The journal examines the impact of industrialization and sustainability development beyond oil in Nigeria. The purpose of this study is to critically enhance industrialization for sustainable development in Nigeria. The descriptive analytical method has been used through data collection by means of a questionnaire distributed to members of staff at Ministry of Trade and investment. The data obtain for this study were from primary source. However, the following finding were made and discovered that industrialization is an essential aspect of long run development in most nations. It was observed that there are six fundamental challenges affecting industrial development. These include corruption, lack of institutional framework coordination; inadequate infrastructural development, poor quality of industrial labour and ineffective human capital development are factors responsible for the backward nature of industrialization in Nigeria. Finally, the journal recommends that government should invest more on industrial development through adequate and viable policies that could guarantee sustainable industrial development in Nigeria.
