Assessment of the Factors Affecting the Provision of Building Infrastructure Under the Public Private Partnership Housing Scheme

Bldr. Dr. Asikogu, Ugochi Agatha (Mrs.), Ajayi Oluwaseun David

Abstract

This study assessed factors affecting the provision of infrastructure under the public-private partnership (PPP) housing scheme in Abuja. High interest on loans and insufficient finance were found to be the most significant factors affecting affordability and provision. The study recommends that the government provide soft loans, subsidies, and intervention funds for private developers. It concluded that factors affecting PPP housing provision do not behave uniformly and vary in their level of impact.
