Development and Underdevelopment 'Dimensions, Challenges, and Pathways for Societal Progress'

Adel Abdulrahman Alkhudiri

Abstract

Development is a multidimensional process integrating social, economic, political, and administrative aspects, with human beings as its cornerstone. The study emphasizes the pivotal role of education, human capital, and scientific expertise in advancing genuine progress, while highlighting poverty, unemployment, ignorance, and corruption as key barriers. Findings confirm that education and effective resource utilization are essential for sustainable development, and the status of societies is determined by their industrial and technological achievements. The study recommends adopting structured organizational plans, supporting national competencies, and drawing on the experiences of advanced nations.
