Leadership Behaviour and Employee Job Performance of Manufacturing Firms in Southeast, Nigeria
Abstract
This study has examined the relationship between leadership behavior and employee job performance of manufacturing firms in South East region of Nigeria. The study employed the use of survey research design to give the respondents equal chances of being selected. Data were generated with the aid of questionnaire which is the major instrument used. Percentage was used to analyze the questionnaire while correlation was used to test hypotheses. The findings show that there is a significant relationship between supportive leadership and employee productivity; supportive leadership significantly relate to employee quality of work. there is a significant relationship between supportive leadership and employee timeliness; a significant relationship exists between directive leadership and employee productivity; a significant relationship exists between directive leadership and employee quality of work and a significant relationship exist between directive leadership and employee tim...
