Abstract

This paper investigates the integration of critical thinking and creativity into curriculum development, emphasizing their significance in fostering 21st-century competencies. It examines philosophical foundations, pedagogical strategies, and empirical studies to highlight effective approaches for embedding these skills into educational frameworks. The paper also discusses challenges in implementation and provides evidence-based recommendations for educators and policymakers to enhance curriculum design that promotes critical thinking and creativity. By reviewing theoretical perspectives and empirical findings, the study demonstrates how intentional curriculum design can produce learners capable of critical reflection, innovative problem-solving, and informed decision-making.
