Impact of Subsidy Removal on Primary School Teachers` in Calabar South

Abstract

This study examined the impact of subsidy removal on primary school teachers` in Calabar South. Primary data were collected from some selected primary school in Calabar South. The descriptive statistic was used to analyse the work. 50 questionnaire distributed were secured and turned in. 32 beneficiaries which representing 64 percent were strongly agreed, 5 beneficiaries which represent 10 percent were agreed, 10 beneficiaries which represent 20 percent were disagreed and 3 beneficiaries which representing 6 percent were disagreed that the removal of subsidy is one of the main causes of increased hardship in my household. From the questionnaire 39 beneficiaries which represent 78 percent were strongly agreed, 9 beneficiaries which represent 18 percent were agreed, and 2 beneficiaries which represent 4 percent were disagreed that the removal of oil subsidy leads to a sudden increase in pump price.
