Abstract

Today’s different organizations in the world are facing great challenges on how to motivate their staff performance and sustained such performance towards achieving their organisational objectives, and these can only be attained through the Effective Human Resource Management. Since mid-1980’s Human Resource Management (HRM) has gained acceptance in both academic and commercial circle. HRM is a multidisciplinary organizational function that draws theories and ideas from various fields such as management, psychology, sociology and economics. This paper seeks to identify the chaotic and complexities faced by organizations in recruiting staff, training and rewarding of staff. It is a well-known fact that human resource is most valuable assets of an organization. Managing these most valuable of asset is very important and complex. No organization can run effectively and efficiently without proper utilization of these assets, mere talking about importance of these assets is not enough how to recruit, train and reward them is equally important. However, organizations are complex settings and therefore chaos is evident. The goal of HRM is to maximize employees’ contributions in order to achieve optimal productivity and effectiveness, while simultaneously attaining individual objectives (such as having a challenging job and obtaining recognition), and societal objectives (such as legal compliance and demonstrating social responsibility). This paper shall seek to explore ways, techniques, skills and competencies required in enhancement of organizational effectiveness under complex settings within recruitment, training and rewarding of personnel The key sub-themes to be handled in the paper are the following: • Indicators of organizational effectiveness • Complexity in recruitment of personnel • Complexity in training of personnel • Complexity in rewarding personnel • Mechanisms of enhancing organizational effectiveness in the
