Digital Pedagogical Strategies for Engagement and Personalisation
Abstract
Digital technologies are an invaluable resource for responding to the wide range of needs and different ways in which students learn, making them a key factor in inclusivity. Personalised teaching, made possible by digital technology, allows teaching to be adapted to the different needs and abilities of students, offering tailor-made learning paths that promote skills acquisition and motivation. The personalisation of learning, facilitated by e-learning platforms and learning management systems, allows for the creation of tailor-made training experiences. These platforms offer the possibility to choose between different paths or modules, based on individual interests or gaps, encouraging greater active engagement and more meaningful participation. This approach is crucial for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and those from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, as it makes knowledge accessible through languages that characterise the communication and expression methods typical of our time, helping to reduce early school leaving among the most vulnerable pupils.
