Digitalization and School: Impacts on Educational Inequalities and Inclusion Strategies

Abstract

This article explores the pivotal role of teacher training in fostering digital inclusion within educational settings. It argues that effective integration of technology in schools requires more than technical skills, emphasizing the need for educators to develop pedagogical, socio- relational, and intercultural competences. Through a critical examination of current professional development practices, the paper highlights the challenges and opportunities in preparing teachers to create equitable and inclusive digital learning environments. It also discusses policy implications and the necessity of sustained, context-sensitive training approaches. Ultimately, the study underscores that digital inclusion depends on holistic teacher preparation aimed at bridging gaps and supporting diverse learners in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
