The Influence of Globalization on Corporate Reputation Management in Selected Telecommunication Companies in Benin City

OGUH Festus A PhD, ONAGHISE Osagie C

Abstract

This study examined the influence of globalization on corporate reputation management in selected telecommunication companies in Benin City. The specific objectives were to assess the relationship between social globalization and corporate reputation management, analyze the impact of political globalization on corporate reputation management, and investigate the connection between health globalization and corporate reputation management in these companies. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered to 400 respondents selected through Taro Yamane’s sampling method. Both descriptive statistics (frequencies and means) and inferential statistics (multiple regression analysis) were applied for data analysis. The results revealed no significant relationship between social globalization and corporate reputation management, as well as between political globalization and corporate reputation management. However, a significant positive relationship was found between health globalization and corporate reputation management. The study recommends that organizations enhance their engagement in social and political globalization to potentially strengthen their corporate reputation management, while continuing consistent efforts in health globalization to sustain the observed positive impact.
