Executive Compensation and Financial Performance: A Panel Data Study of Quoted Commercial Banks in Nigeria
Abstract
This study examined the effect of executive compensation and financial performance of quoted commercial banks in Nigeria. The ex post facto research design was employed and secondary data were sourced from the annual reports of 13 quoted commercial quoted on the Nigerian Exchange Group between 2013 and 2022. The panel linear regression technique was adopted and data were analysed using E-views to determine the effect of executive compensation on financial performance.
