The study discovered that e-governance can lead to cost savings for government organizations because it eliminates the need for physical infrastructure, decreases the use of paper, and optimizes resource utilization. The study further revealed that while electronic governance is a possible solution to overcoming the challenges of public administration at the local level especially in the formulation and implementation of public policy; its optimum utilization is yet to be achieved due to the low level of literacy rate and government inability to provide the necessary infrastructure. The study recommends that There should be strong political will and commitment for e-governance project to excel at the local level and that government should make funds readily available to ensure effective enforcement of e-governance in local government administration.
