Mutari Ahmed Kwari, T.O Idowu, Hervert Tata , I.U Ezelibe.

Abstract

Gravity anomalies are variations in the Earth’s gravitational field caused by subsurface density differences. Separating these anomalies helps identify and interpreted specific geological features or structures. This paper aim in separating gravity anomalies into regional and residual component in Southern Jigawa State, provide valuable insights into subsurface density distributions, crucial for understanding geological strictures, mineral exploration, and environmental monitoring. using acquired gravity data by analyzing variations in gravity measurements accounting for instrumental corrections terrain effect and data quality control Our methodology involves data processing filtering and interpretation techniques to isolate anomalies from regional trends. The results yield a detailed characterization of gravity anomalies subsurface features and their implications for geoscience applications. The study investigates the timeline issues of gravity anomalies in gravity stations in some selected local government of Jigawa sate Nigeria. Using acquitted gravity data. The variation in gravity measurements overtime. The study findings revealed an implication for geophysical research, resource exploration and environmental. Key words: gravity anomalies Data Residual, , Regional anomalies
