Review of Man-In-The-Middle, DDOS and Ransomware Attacks in Internet of Things (IOT): Threats, Impacts and Detection Techniques
Abstract
This paper offers an overview of three prevalent cybersecurity risks inside the Internet of Things ecosystem: Man-in-the-Middle occurrences, Distributed Denial of Service outbreaks and ransomware. By investigating current literature, we highlighted the procedures employed by attackers, the effect of these attacks on IoT networks and the success of existing mitigation tactics. By comparing and contrasting these attack vectors, this article aims to improve understanding of their distinct characteristics and commonalities, providing treasured understanding for cybersecurity professionals and researchers seeking to develop more robust defensive strategies. Keyword: Man-in-the-Middle Attack , Ransomware, Distributed Denial of Service , Cybersecurity, Cyber Threats and Cyber Defense.
