Ogbu N. Henry PhD, Ezennorom Edmund Onwubiko

Abstract

The voice operated ATM is a type of automated teller machine that provides audible instructions so that persons who cannot read an ATM screen like the visually-impaired, can independently use the machine (Fasan, 2020). There is voice assistant in ATM machine, which involves the use of spoken commands to initiate and navigate through the ATM transaction process. This ATM machine is stimulated with voice. When voice is input into the machine through head phone as input, the system responds to the request of the user. It could be either for cash dispensing, transfer or even recharge airtime card. ATM is a cash machine that enables the customers of financial institutions to perform financial transactions with ease like cash withdrawals, deposit, balance inquiries, fund transfer at any time and without the need for direct interaction with bank staff (Raghav, 2019) With the use of ATM, customers can perform many financial transactions like accessing their interbank deposit or credit accounts to make variety of financial transactions notably cash withdrawals and balance checking as well as transferring credits to and from mobile phones. The use of ATM has increased tremendously overtime and the essence of the system is that it enabled the verification of the customer with the debited account without human intervention.
