Enhancement of Cloud Based Financial Service: Security, Compliance and Transaction Processing

Cyril Febau Benafa, Francis Ofonime Idongesit, Emeyazia Ijeoma Doris

Abstract

This research presents the development and implementation of a cloud-based financial services platform with integrated mechanisms to enhance security, regulatory compliance, and real-time transaction processing. With the growing reliance on cloud infrastructure by financial institutions, there is a critical need for systems that not only support flexible and scalable operations but also enforce stringent security and legal standards. The proposed system addresses limitations of traditional on-premises architectures such as poor scalability, delayed transactions, and fragmented compliance by incorporating modern encryption protocols, automated compliance checks, and micro service-based transaction engines. Developed using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and deployed within a cloud-native environment, the system features a responsive user interface, secure authentication, and seamless API integrations for financial operations. Evaluation through unit and integration testing confirms the platform’s ability to process secure transactions, detect anomalies, and maintain audit trails in real time. This study demonstrates that co-designing security, compliance, and transaction workflows within unified cloud architecture can enhance the reliability, performance, and trustworthiness of digital financial services.
