Abstract

Effective leadership is crucial for good governance, but in Nigeria's Bayelsa and Delta States, the opposite seems to be the case. This study examines the relationship between leadership effectiveness and governance breakdown in Baylsa and Delta states. The study adopted .... theory. The study utilized qualitative approach, it explores how poor leadership has contributed to insecurity, corruption, and underdevelopment. The study reveals that leadership failures have led to mismanagement of resources, inadequate infrastructure, and social unrest. The paper concludes that strengthening leadership accountability and transparency is key to improving governance and development in these states.
