Abstract

This study investigated the impact of queer theology on the beliefs, identity, and spiritual formation of Christian youths in contemporary society. The primary objective was to assess how queer theology influences these aspects of youth development. The total population for the study was 1,876,432, from which a random sample of 449 respondents was drawn to represent the larger group. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, and data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The findings revealed that queer theology challenges conventional beliefs while reshaping the faith, identity, and spiritual practices of Christian youths. It further fosters inclusivity and redefines their sense of belonging within the church. This highlights the significant role queer theology plays in influencing the spiritual and communal lives of young Christians. Based on these results, the study recommends that churches and theological institutions integrate queer-affirming perspectives into their teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care in order to build inclusive environments that nurture faith, identity, and spiritual growth. Also, youth ministries should actively encourage dialogue and engagement with diverse theological perspectives, including queer theology, to promote inclusivity, mutual respect, and a stronger sense of belonging among Christian youths.
