An Assessment of Street Network in Lafia Town, Nasarawa State, Nigeria
Abstract
The aim of this research is to Assess the Street Network in Lafia Town with the specific objectives; to examine street, classifications, standards, facilities, conditions as well as challenges. Cities in both developed and developing world fall rapid growth rates of population urbanization and increase in vehicles and streets construction. The study used both primary and secondary method of data collections. The data collected were analysed using quantitative method such as tables and simple percentage. The major findings of the research revealed that grid-iron pattern (53.3%), Curvilinear (26.7%) and rectilinear (20%), and primary (6.7%), District 916.7%), Collector (10%), Arterial (23.3%), Access (30%) and cul-de-sac (13.3%).
