Abstract

Rice is among the most widely cultivated food crops in Nigeria and is the major sources of carbohydrate in both rural and urban areas[cite: 4]. [cite_start]Rice blast disease (Magnaporthe oryzae) is one of the most important diseases of rice and a threat to global rice security[cite: 4]. [cite_start]Use of resistant rice varieties has been reported to be the eco-friendliest and economic approach to rice blast disease management[cite: 4]. [cite_start]This research was conducted with the aim of identifying rice Variety(s) that are naturally resistant to rice blast disease[cite: 4]. [cite_start]Rice varieties were sourced from rice producing areas of Kebbi State[cite: 4]. [cite_start]Field experiment was conducted at the Teaching and Research Lowland Farm of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology Aliero... [cite: 4]
