Abstract

Biophilic design is an innovative approach that integrates natural features into the built environment, creating immersive surroundings that draw on the inherent human connection to nature[cite: 2]. [cite_start]Extensive research supports the need for incorporating these natural elements into our spaces, highlighting humanity's innate affinity for nature, an instinct that persists regardless of technological advancements or urban lifestyles[cite: 2]. [cite_start]Evidence suggests that spending time in nature significantly improves quality of life, boosts productivity, and enhances overall well-being[cite: 2]. [cite_start]For instance, a study by Bromberek reveals that the presence of natural features is often the primary reason guests choose a resort, underscoring the importance of these elements in the hospitality sector[cite: 2]. [cite_start]Over the past decade, biophilic design has gained attention and acceptance in various fields; however, it is still surrounded by controversy[cite: 2].
