Smart Office Technologies for Sustainable Workplace Efficiency and Data Security
Abstract
Smart office is an office that has been transformed with the technologies that makes work easy and employees’ work with comfort and satisfaction that leads to efficiency. The employees comfortably navigate from their homes in the discharge of duties. Busy executives attend to meetings, with comfort from their homes and make inputs without the risk of travelling. Decisions are taken in offices based on big data analysis and results that help busy executives work without stress and all bureaucracies in management reduced and provide management with accurate handy information regarding the aspects of work in the office. Employees’ attendance to work are checkmated through smart office tech that gives accurate information on how employees attend to work, does the work and leaves for the day. This ensures costs saving as those found redundant are laid off and lateness surcharges, yet increase efficiency as employees are highly dedicated. Also data is most excellently protected as unauthorised persons do not have access to data not meant to him/her hence security of data. This paper focuses on efficiency in the discharge of office functions, working without stress, employees’ attendance to work, data security, quick decision making and reduction of waste and unnecessary cost for sustainability. Amongst, the recommendation is that organisations should ensure regular updates of software and hardware to make it more efficient for the avoidance of challenges.
