Making the Love and Unity of the Trinity A Mode for Effective Christian Living and Ministry

Abstract

This study highlights that the Trinitarian love and unity serve as a model for effective Christian living and ministry. Both Testaments attest to the Trinitarian love and unity, providing sufficient evidence that affirms it unequivocally. Despite the plurality of the Godhead or their distinction in persons, loving collaboration exists among them, making God's activities and programmes always effective and fruitful. Consequently, it is posited that these incomparable virtues-love and unity-among the Trinitarian persons should be made a model for effective Christian living and ministry. Evidently, schisms, rancour, strife, contention, opposition, rivalry, squabbles, and the like often infiltrate families, denominations, schools of thought, workplaces, and Christian communities due to a deficiency of love and unity among individuals. In this respect, it is contended that making Trinitarian love and unity a model not only fosters individual believers' spiritual growth but also impacts Christian life and ministry by eliminating division, promoting mutual importance, cooperation, and collaboration, and equipping believers for life and ministry.
