Towards Seamless Evolution: A Framework for Continuous Adaptation and Evolution of Software Systems in Dynamic Environments
Abstract
The increasing complexity and uncertainty faced by software engineers, due to rapidly changing requirements, user needs, and environmental conditions, requires software systems to adapt continuously. This study presents DynaSEF, a novel framework that enables seamless evolution and resilience in dynamic software engineering environments. It integrates principles of agility, flexibility, scalability, automation, and feedback-driven development to support continuous adaptation. The framework is developed through a review of current practices and trends in software evolution, and it is evaluated using a mixed-method approach involving qualitative insights from industry professionals and quantitative performance metrics. Key findings show that DynaSEF enhances change management and system resilience, offering a structured and adaptable solution. This work contributes a new methodology for evolving software systems in dynamic contexts, providing a strategic advantage in modern software engineering practices.
