Artificial Intelligence Tools Utilized by Postgraduate Business Education Students for Effective Research-Based Learning in Rivers State Universities
Abstract
The study determined Artificial Intelligence Tools Utilized by Postgraduate Business Education Students for Effective Research-Based Learning in Rivers State Universities. Three specific objectives, research questions and hypotheses were posed and answered in the study. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study. The area covered by this study was Rivers State University (RSU) and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE). The population of the study consist of One-hundred and thirty-three (133) Business Education postgraduate students of 2023/2024 academic session, in the two universities offering Business Education. The sample size for this study was the entire population and census was adopted as sampling techniques. Data for the study were collected by means of questionnaire titled “Artificial Intelligence Tools utilized by postgraduate Business Education students for effective Research Based learning in Rivers State universities (AITUPBESERBL)”. The instrument adopted a four point rating scale of Very High Extent, High Extent, Moderate Extent and low Extent (LE). The research instrument was face and content validated by three experts two in the Business Education and one expert in Measurement and Evaluation. The reliability of the instrument was determined by using test re-test method. The set of scores was collected and computed using Pearson Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient(r) and the correlation yielded a score of 0.86 which was considered appropriate for this study. One-hundred and thirty-three (133) copies of the questionnaire were administered to the respondents, which One-hundred and thirty-three (133) was retrieved for the analysis. Mean and Standard Deviation were used to answer the research questions and Independent Sample t-test Analysis was used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance.
