Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into cloud ecosystems is reshaping enterprise operations, enabling unprecedented levels of innovation, efficiency, and scalability. Cloud platforms provide the computational capacity, data accessibility, and collaborative infrastructure required for AI deployment at scale, while AI augments cloud services through automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent decision-making. Together, this convergence facilitates transformative applications such as adaptive supply chains, personalized customer engagement, and proactive cybersecurity. However, the rapid pace of innovation presents complex challenges related to governance and digital trust, particularly in environments where data sovereignty, algorithmic accountability, and regulatory compliance must be upheld. This examines conceptual frameworks that address the balance between innovation, governance, and digital trust in AI-enabled cloud ecosystems. It explores innovation-centric approaches that prioritize agility and experimentation, governance-centric frameworks emphasizing accountability, risk management, and compliance, and trust-centric paradigms focusing on transparency, fairness, and security. By analyzing hybrid models that integrate these perspectives, this underscores the need for holistic strategies to ensure sustainable enterprise adoption of AI in cloud environments. The findings highlight that fostering digital trust is not merely a regulatory necessity but also a strategic enabler of innovation, as enterprises depend on stakeholder confidence to scale AI solutions responsibly. Governance mechanisms must evolve to incorporate explainability, ethical AI principles, and interoperability standards, while innovation strategies must remain adaptable to dynamic market and regulatory landscapes. Future directions point toward the role of digital twins, federated learning, and AI ethics as foundational pillars for res
