Assessing the Effectiveness of Radio as a Medium for Evangelism in Mainline Christian Churches in Kaduna State, Nigeria
Abstract
This research assessing the effectiveness of radio as a medium for evangelism in Mainline Christian Churches in Kaduna State, Nigeria, using a descriptive survey design. A sample of 1,013 participants was randomly drawn from a population of 3,020,405, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using mean scores. The results showed that Radio evangelism in Kaduna State’s mainline churches effectively engages diverse audiences, strengthens faith, boosts participation, and fosters spiritual growth . The study concludes that radio has proven to be an effective medium for evangelism in mainline Christian churches in Kaduna State, as it reaches diverse audiences, strengthens faith, encourages participation, and promotes spiritual growth. It recommends that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) collaborate with mainline churches to develop and support coordinated radio evangelism programs, ensuring consistent, and high-quality content in multiple local languages that can further strengthen faith, expand audience reach, and promote spiritual growth across Kaduna State.
