AI and Data Analytics in Managing International Human Resources and Expatriate Assignments
Abstract
The globalization of business operations has intensified the complexity of international human resources management, particularly in expatriate assignments. This paper examined the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics in addressing challenges associated with international HR management and expatriate operations. Through analysis of current applications, benefits, and implementation challenges, this research demonstrates how AI-driven solutions enhance decision-making processes, improve assignment success rates, and optimize cost management in international HR operations. The study revealed that organizations leveraging AI and data analytics report 35-40% improvement in expatriate assignment success rates and significant reductions in assignment costs. However, implementation barriers such as data privacy concerns, technological infrastructure requirements, and cultural considerations remain significant. The paper concludes with recommendations for strategic implementation and future research directions.
