Abstract

This study investigated the role of the Evangelical Church Winning All in combating cultural violence against women in North Central Nigeria using a descriptive survey research design. A total of 1,275 respondents were randomly drawn from a population of 6,019,230, and data were collected through a structured questionnaire, with results analyzed using mean scores. Findings revealed that the Evangelical Church Winning All addresses cultural violence against women by teaching against harmful traditions, discouraging practices like forced marriage and widowhood rites, and offering counseling and fellowship support. The study concludes that the Evangelical Church Winning All plays an essential role in mitigating cultural violence through its teachings, counseling, and women’s fellowship activities. It recommends institutionalizing continuous training for pastors, counselors, and fellowship leaders to sustainably build knowledge and advocacy skills for challenging harmful traditions. Furthermore, it advises strengthening long- term partnerships with government agencies, civil society groups, and community leaders to create enduring support systems such as safe spaces, referral networks, and advocacy platforms for the protection and empowerment of women.
