Big Data analytic Tools and Technologies: It’s Applications and Challenges

Onyekwelu, C A and Onyesolu, M O

Abstract

Big data analytics involves the processing and analysis of vast and complex datasets to extract valuable insights and make effective decisions. Big data analytics faces several challenges related to data quality, privacy, integration, expertise, cost, and technology evolution. Conventional methods and infrastructures for data management and analysis are no longer suitable for analyzing such data sets. As a result, new techniques and tools tailored to big data analytics are needed, along with the necessary systems for handling and storing the data. These challenges can hinder effective use of big data analytic from deriving valuable insights. With the explosion of data, early innovation of big data analytic tools and technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases were created for the storage and processing of big data. This paper discussed in detail the types of big data analytic, big data analytic methods, the procedures used in big data analytic, applications of big data analytics, the challenges hindering it from providing the required information, big data analytic tools and technologies as the main solution to the big data analytic challenges if properly and judicious utilized.
