Digital Education and the Future of Learning: The Case of Emerging Technologies
Abstract
This work is a study of digital education and its impact on future learning in Nigeria. It has as case study, emerging technologies. It will dwell on the various emerging technologies that can be used to enhance teaching and learning in school. It thus has the objective of ascertaining how the emerging technologies can be used to promote and enhance digital education i.e. teaching and learning in class rooms in the digital age. This will not only enhance our understanding but enhance application in processes of implementation and application. The methodology that will be used is the expository that exposes the various technologies available and critical thinking methods that ask how and why, while explanation will adopt the analytical method. Initial findings is that emerging technologies are very essential in the digital age for learning and teaching in schools. And conclude in part that emerging technologies are central or critical to our understanding and knowledge in the digital age both to learning process and in application of processes
