Dideolu Florence ADEKOGBE, Prof Afolakemi Olasumbo OREDEIN

Abstract

Leadership is a crucial element in the success of any organisation, including schools. The style of leadership adopted by school administrators can significantly impact the effectiveness of the school business. The quality of school businesses is heavily influenced by the leadership style adopted by organisational leaders. Despite its importance, many leaders face challenges in adopting an effective leadership approach, making it crucial to investigate the impact of organisational leadership styles on school business performance. This paper aims to explore the theoretical approaches to organisational leadership styles and their impact on school business effectiveness emphasising the critical role leadership plays in shaping an organisation's culture, direction, and tone. Effective school business relies on three key elements: a well-established structure, talented individuals, and a culture of positive behaviour. Moreover, leadership theories offer valuable insights that support business operations, foster strong leadership, and empower individuals to develop their leadership skills.
