Secured Examination Management System Using Multi Factor Authentication
Abstract
The objective of this work is to develop a secured examination management system using multi factor authentication that considers facial recognition as an additional factor for authentication, to enhance the security of the examination. However, this project was motivated by the fact that the method of authenticating a student for examination has an obvious problem such as presentation of fake clearance card, impersonation, Lack of student verification before starting examination and so on. The methodology adopted for this work is structured system analysis and design methodology (SSADM). The proposed system used fingerprint biometric and facial recognition approach the system recognizes an individual by comparing their biometrics with every record in the database rather than old manual method in use. The programming language used is visual basic.net while the database is Microsoft structured query language. The expected result is to develop a secured examination management system using multi factor authentication for examination conduct the new system will compulsorily prompt for biometric (fingerprint) and facial recognition for authentication and identification of the real student before entering into examination hall.
