The study investigated the influence of teachers' variables on secondary school students' academic achievement in Biology in Bekwarra Local Government Area, Cross River State. T research questions and two corresponding null hypotheses guided this study. A sample of 318 senior secondary two (SSII) students offering Biology was used for the study drawn from a population of 1544 SSII students offering Biology in Bekwarra Local Government Area, Cross River State using Taro Yamane's sample size formula. Two instruments, developed by the researcher, were used for data collection namely; Questionnaire for Teachers Variables and Students Academic Achievement in Biology (QTVSAAB) and Biology Achievement Test (BAT). Cronbach Alpha (x) method was used to determine the internal consistency of the Teachers' Variables and Students' Academic Achievement in Biology (QTVSAAB) which was 0.72 Kuder-Richardson 20 formula method was used to determine the reliability coefficients for the Biology Achievement Test (BAT). The reliability coefficient obtained was 0.86 for BAT. The research questions and all null hypotheses were answered and tested using simple linear regression at 0.05 significance level. Results of the study revealed that teachers' motivational and communication skills significantly influence students' academic achievement in Biology in senior secondary schools in Bekwarra Local Government Area, Cross River State. The researcher recommended that teachers exhibit good motivational skills, communication skills, and creativity while teaching to improve the student’s academic performances.
