Abstract
Chinua Achebe était considérée comme une figure éminente parmi les écrivains postcoloniaux préoccupés par des notions telles que la nation et l'identité à travers la littérature qu'ils produisent. Things Fall Apart reflète les expériences et les relations de sa société avec la puissance colonisatrice. Ce sont ces aspects importants qui définissent l’identité de chacun et qui constituent un champ d’exploration dans la littérature postcoloniale. Cette étude se concentre sur les opinions contemporaines de Chinua Achebe telles que contenues dans Things Fall Apart. Cette étude a révélé que l’identité est un élément dynamique et important pour la culture africaine. Il a souligné que l’avènement du maître colonial portait préjudice à l’identité africaine.
