This study examines the role of e-governance in enhancing administrative efficiency, transparency, citizen participation, and data management within the Rivers State Ministry of Information between 2014 and 2024. Anchored in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research investigates how perceived usefulness and ease of use affect the adoption and effectiveness of digital platforms in public administration. The study employed a survey research design, targeting a sample of 125 staff members, selected through purposive sampling from a population of 192. Data were collected using a validated structured questionnaire based on a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using percentage mean scores and standard deviation with the aid of SPSS. Findings reveal that digitization of government processes significantly improves public service delivery. Digital platforms were found to enhance transparency and accountability, reduce corruption, and foster responsible resource management. Furthermore, e-governance tools were effective in improving citizen engagement, participation, and communication with government agencies. Additionally, improved data accessibility and management were shown to positively influence decision-making and policy formulation. The study concludes that the adoption of e-governance tools has positively transformed administrative processes, aligning with global trends in digital governance. To sustain these gains, the study recommends expanding digitization efforts, auditing and securing digital platforms, promoting citizen-inclusive governance through technology, and investing in data infrastructure and capacity building. The Technology Acceptance Model provided a useful framework for understanding the dynamics of e-governance adoption in a developing public administration context.
