Abstract

The study is an investigation into the impact of leadership tussle on the moral, religious and numerical growth of Assemblies of God church in southeast geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The objectives were to find out the impact of leadership tussle on the moral, religious and numerical growth of the male and female members of the Church under investigation. Survey research design was adopted and a set of structured questionnaire and interview techniques were employed to collect data from 760 respondents while the responses of the interviewees served as complementary in the discussion. Findings from the study indicated that leadership tussle has serious moral and religious impact on the Assemblies of God church with the highest mean of 3.31, cumulative mean of 2.93 and p = value of 0.000; and that it also has negative impact on the numerical growth of the church with the highest mean of 3.43, cumulative mean of 3.19 and p =
