The latest type is the pandemic crisis which has affected not only Nigeria but the whole of the African continent and the rest of the world, this includes; the Ebola outbreak which started in Liberia in 2014, the Cholera outbreak in Kano State, northern Nigeria, and the latest is Coronavirus which started in Wuhan China in late 2019. The findings revealed that a crisis that is either induced by natural forces or human activity is an inescapable phenomenon that threatens an organization's survival if not handled with the utmost sense of urgency. The researchers concluded that any organization that wants to survive and bounce back to normalcy in the face of a crisis must be resilience-driven in its behaviour. Although crisis management is an integral tool for organizational sustainability through corporate resilience culture, there appears to be a dearth of knowledge on how crisis management can influence the corporate resilience of the hotel industries in Rivers State. Organizations should ensure that mechanisms are put in place to manage crises such as proactive and reactive strategies to prepare them to curtail unanticipated circumstances. Presidential Hotel should not let their guard down because a ban on the restriction of movement is lifted; they should ensure that all the guests and employees continue to strictly adhere to the NCDC regulations in curtailing COVID-19.
